John Zarbis recycles familiar materials and transforms them into colorful summer landscapes. Born in 1961, the self-taught artist uses wood, stones and other materials that have been altered by the sea or by time. Materials that he collects during his travels at the Greek islands and which, through his imagination, gain a new life. The exhibition “Summer 2016”, organized in the framework of the “Neapoli-Nea Poli” project and presented at the Hellenic American Union’s “Hadjikyriakos – Ghikas” gallery (Massalias 22) until July 15, features the artist’s most recent artworks.
