The Hellenic American Union and the Hellenic American College (HAEC) in cooperation with the Hellenic American University (Manchester, NH, USA) present an exhibition of paintings by Alekos Kyrarinis and poems by Dimitris Angelis. Two reputable artists join forces with curator Louisa Karapidaki to give us the exhibition titled FOS–ZOE (Light-Life).
Dimitris Angelis writes poems inspired by the paintings of Alekos Kyrarinis, whose illustrative selections revolve around an illustrative allusion to the proponent of good. Opening his heart to us through this 'confessional' narrative, the painter presents his predominant conviction of the victory of 'good' and light over inner darkness. By means of the symbolic title of the exhibition FOS–ZOE, he seeks to bring out the spiritual significance of this equivocal relationship.
